With COVID being the biggest cock-block of the decade, we’re looking into other ways of being intimate with each other this Valentine’s Day. So, take what you want from this tried and tested guide, and create your own sexy virtual time.

  1. Create a mood! If you’re a sucker for ambience like me, sexy lighting will make all the difference for your virtual playtime. Try lighting a couple of candle and bin off the big light. (Skip this step for a more spontaneous feel!)
  1. Talking is sexy! Tell each other about your favourite sexy time together. What made it so hot?  Or if you’re chatting with someone you haven’t had sex with before, what do you like during sex? What turns you on? What is something your partner does that just makes you gush?! Tell them!
  1. Communication is key! Which way do you want the camera? Is there something you want them to do? Don’t be afraid to check in with each other too, make sure you are both comfortable. Try phrases like ‘do you like that?’ and ‘is that okay for you?’
  1. Managing expectations! Let’s try not to make orgasm the end goal. There’s a lot of pressure to c** anyway during sex, and this may even increase over the phone. Instead let’s reframe it as a sexy intimate time together. If you feel like you’re not going to c**, try saying ‘I really enjoyed this, but I don’t think I’m going to finish. Why don’t we chat/watch something?’
  1. Afterwards…try some pillow-talk! Tell them what you liked, and what you would like to try next time. It might be nice to fall asleep on the phone to each other too!
  1. And…CHARGE YOUR TOYS!
