stained heart window

when glass shatters
it does not break easy

with its cobwebs written
across unborn sand

it breaks into shards
embedded deep in dark corners

it glitters in pearlescent lies
and when it cuts you,

invisible teeth in softened feet,
you do not bleed easy

seven years of finding pieces
tomorrow, and tomorrow,

and once you think it’s gone,
rocks swept through moonlit tides,

it cuts you, once again
