A Man’s World

Why must I accommodate your white male needs

when we live in a men’s society that feeds

on such innocent people

who are not seen as equal?

Why must it be that I

donate to your controlled lie

when I am seen but not heard

and moments of oppression have occurred?

Why must I have to use my voice

when what I do with my body is not a choice

and what I wear is dictated

and what I do is judged and hated?

I'm a part time author, poet and artist (when university allows me to) and I love to express myself through creative means. I write to represent the women that feel alone, and to provide a positive environment to those who need it.
