Letters From Lockdown 81: Imy Brighty-Potts

Dear Haz,

Thank you for opening up to me; it feels like yesterday and forever ago.

You took a gamble and you were so brave, and I am so glad I listened and heard you and look how much has changed.

I never thought we would be here, a year on, apart and unable to spend time together. What a first year we have had, but having spent months apart, mastered the distance and have begun doing great at virtual date nights, we are doing pretty darn good.

Thank you for teaching me to be kinder, more soft and more understanding. Thank you for being a calming force in the chaos of life.

Thank you for being honest with me.

I miss you so much, but I know it won’t be long. I know we will see each other soon and be able to curl up, have dinner and play Scrabble.

I might even let you win.

All my love always,

Ims x
