When I Look At You

When I look at you, I see
Hazy summer days
Skirts of dresses blowing in a soft breeze
Flowers budding through your hair
Golden skin
Fingers stretched out wide

When I look at you, I see
Cosy fires
Pink cheeks
Big blankets and jumpers
Books and armchairs
Decaf coffee and steamed up glasses

When I look at you, I see
Determination
An unstoppable force
Power mixed with humility
Raw emotion
Kindness in abundance

When I look at you, I see
You.
And that's all I want to look at
For you capture beauty in a way I cannot fathom
Nor find in anything else on this earth
And it is bewitching
